BIOGRAPHY

Arma Lux, born in Lyon in 2002, is based in Paris.

He began as a self-taught filmmaker at the age of 8. In 2012, he formed the Okkto art collective, with whom he has made around fifty short films including La Mémoire du Silence (2018) and Keep on Shining (2020). In 2022, he directed Blues, which received a limited theatrical release and was nominated for the Rimbaud du Cinéma Awards.

At the same time, he studied theatre directing at the Lyon Regional Conservatory, graduating in 2023 with Aria pour un Automate, which was presented at the Théâtre de la Croix-Rousse. That same year, at the invitation of directors Geoffrey Rouge-Carassat and Emmanuel Besnault, he created Tempo, a performance presented at the Fribourg International Theatre Festival in Switzerland. He has developed a practice at the intersection of theatre, dance and film.

In 2026, he joined the Specimen theatre company and directed Parade (ballet réaliste) based on Jean Cocteau's work, in collaboration with the choreographer Agathe Paré-Comont. His recent collaborative work includes the performance Synchronisation Accidentelle and numerous music videos (War Pigs by Ukandanz...).
